A More Transparent Way to Charge

Posted 26/03/2026

From Monday 27th April 2026, we are introducing an updated pricing model to Blink Drive designed to give drivers more visibility, control, and fairness

The price shown in the app represents the full cost of charging through our network, including the charging station tariff and access to our platform. Before starting a session, simply check the price in the app so you know exactly what to expect. Some charging stations may apply additional time-based or idle fees set by the operator, and these will always be shown in the app before you plug in.

For individual drivers (excluding fleet drivers), charging is now pay-as-you-go (PAYG), as opposed to monthly post-paid billing. Additionally, we are removing session fees on non-Blink (other operator’s) chargers.

As always, we value you charging with Blink. That’s why charging on Blink chargers will get you preferred rates compared to other operators.

What's changing?

Here’s a quick overview of the update:

Today From 27th April 2026
Fixed charging prices across operators The full cost of charging is shown in the app before you start
Optional subscription plans No subscriptions - only pay for the sessions you use
Session fees on non-Blink chargers Session fees will no longer apply on non-Blink chargers
Charging billed after sessions (post-paid) Pay-as-you-go for individual drivers (fleet drivers excluded)

You’ll always see the full cost of a session in the app before you start charging, so there are no surprises.

Moving away from fixed pricing and subscriptions

To give you greater transparency and control over your charging costs, fixed pricing and subscription plans will no longer be available.

Instead, the price shown in the app represents the full cost of charging through our network, including the charging station tariff and access to our platform. Where applicable, any operator‑specific time‑based or idle fees are also included and clearly shown before you start charging. This means you can always see the total cost of a session before you start charging.

With this update:

  • There are no monthly subscription fees

  • Session fees on other operators are removed (you pay per session based on the price shown in the app)

  • Individual drivers charge pay-as-you-go (fleet drivers excluded)

This approach gives you full visibility of charging prices, helping you choose the charger and session that works best for you.

Charging with the app or a card

You can start charging straight from the Blink Drive app whenever you need it. Prefer using a physical charge card? You can order an RFID card for €3.95, giving you quick access to over 900,000 charge points across our network.

Either way, you always see what you’re paying and can choose the session that works best for you.

Fleet and business customers

If your company has pre-agreed pricing for your own chargers, those rates won’t change. This update does apply when charging at other Blink chargers in our network or at third-party operators.

We’ve designed the update so everyone, individual drivers and fleets alike, can clearly see the real cost of a session before charging, giving you confidence and control.

New pricing model from 27 April 2026

This pricing update applies only to charging sessions started on or after 27 April 2026 and does not affect completed or ongoing sessions. If you do not wish to use the service under the updated pricing model, you remain free to stop using the Blink Drive service at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you updating the pricing model?

We want charging prices to be clearer and fairer for everyone. By showing the full cost of each session in the app, including operator tariffs and access to our network, you’ll always know exactly what you’ll pay before you start. That way, you’re in control and can choose the session that works best for you.

Every operator sets their own tariffs. By showing the full cost in the app, you can compare stations and choose what works best for you.

Different providers have separate agreements with charging networks, so prices can vary. Using our app gives you the total cost for that station through our network, letting you plan with confidence.

Before starting a session, just select the station in the app. You’ll see the total cost including operator tariffs and network access, so you can make a clear, informed choice before plugging in.

Only pre-agreed pricing for your own chargers remains unaffected. Everything else, other network chargers or third-party operators will follow the updated pricing.
